Note:
This giveaway was part of the Orioles’ Star
Wars weekend; Star Wars music played throughout the game, and, on the new humongous
scoreboard, players were depicted as Star Wars characters (Orioles = Good Guys
and Blue Jays = Bad Guys, LOL).
Unfortunately, Jordan
Westburg, the subject of this bobblehead, was on the disabled list (recovering
from Tommy John surgery) – such is the game of baseball. At least 20,000 of his
very cool bobbleheads were very much in attendance.
The game started out in
favor of the Toronto Blue Jays; they were ahead 5-1, that is, until the ninth
inning, when, suddenly, the Orioles’ bats exploded, and they cobbled together five
runs to win 6-5. Much to the remaining fans’ delight, Polar Bear Pete Alonso
(25) knocked in the final run.
