2025: Box #18d – Large Emerald and Scarab

*Note: I’m not certain that this spectacular rough specimen is Emerald, but it appears to present some vague tubular areas. However, it doesn’t contain mica areas (typically associated with rough emerald specimens). When wet, it is a deep emerald green, as depicted in the above photos).

This specimen does not seem to be aventurine or jade, but it could be green jasper (although it lacks the matte surface indicative of unpolished Jasper).

I don’t recall acquiring this specimen, although it’s likely at the tailgate at a Lebanon show. I tend not to buy large rough specimens anywhere but Lebanon.
