You Know You’re a Rockhound When…

Image
Snowflake Obsidian Specimen _____________________ – You look down instead of up. – Any rock, no matter how common, will raise your pulse. – You see beauty in all rocks, even “Leaverites,” the ones you leave behind. – Your family and friends just roll their eyes when you pick up yet another rock. – You are willing to dig up a rock with a spoon, even if it means ruining the spoon. – You have been known to visit urban rock piles and risk stares from people who are wondering why an old person is crawling around on a dirt pile. – You are willing to pay excess baggage fees (international, yet) for a large yellow rock that looks like a loaf of bread. – Your pockets are always filled with rocks and residual dirt. – You often find pebbles in your shoes and even socks. – You don’t mind dirt at all, even under your fingernails. That’s why soap and water exist. – You get why rocks are so spiritual; you understand that rocks have been around since the beginning of earth ...

Fluorite: Raw Specimen Fluorite: Raw Specimen Fluorite: Raw Specimen Fluorite: Raw Specimen Fluorite: Raw Specimen (LED light)  Fluorite: Raw Specimen (black light) Fluorite: Raw Specimen Note: I’m not quite sure that this is fluorite. I see some tubular structures within the specimen. It also does not fluoresce, and the associated rock seems to be quartz. The color shouts aquamarine, BUT it was a freebie given to me as a fluorite, so I’m going to assume that the seller knows more than I do. 2025: Box #27 – Fluorite   5.54 ounces 156.5 grams 782.5 carats   Seller: Doorway to Crystals (Mike Lecrone and Bonnie Evans) Lancaster County Fossil and Mineral Club Show Lancaster Farm and Home Center Lancaster, Pennsylvania   27 July 2025 2025-27-Fluorite Fluorite: Raw Specimen
